A field trip to the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre offer an opportunity of students to have a memorable experience in learning. Our tours are tied to curriculum material that the students are learning in class and will allow them “hands” on learning experience.
- Our tours enhance the curriculum materials contained in our Education Program Packages
- Our tours are conducted by experienced, knowledgeable museum volunteers.
- Ample parking is available for School buses
- Our facility is fully equipped with clean, modern washrooms.
- Each tour is approximately 2 hours in length.
Classes from junior kindergarten through high school age will find things to enjoy! The younger students will love the hands-on Children’s Flight Centre; the older students always have fun in the Fire Tower, or on our XBox Simulators. And of course, everyone loves to climb aboard our real vintage aircraft!
Associated lessons are encouraged before and after a field trip. Many students may not have been to a museum and it is helpful to establish the rules of a museum as well as get them excited to come and experience all the fun adventures they are about to have. The Education Program lessons and activities are all optional; our tours are developed to be stand-alone and pre or post lessons are not required to experience a field trip at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre.
