The Canadian Improv Showcase has been offering on-site, interactive, customizable workshops for over 15 years. Our workshops were designed with the guidance of a professional educator with more than 30 years of classroom experience. We have visited more than 400 schools and would like to add your school to that list. Our sessions are applicable for grades 1 through 8. Here is a brief outline of the workshops we offer as well as a list of benefits and pricing:

Elementary: Grade 1 – Grade 8

Intro to Improv
These workshops focus on the foundation of all dramatic arts endeavors and reinforces teacher instruction. Elements explored include projection, stage presence, blocking, scene integrity, character development and the elements of effective improv.
Improv Certificate Programme
This programme offers 3 levels to explore in-depth all the elements of improvisation and dramatic arts all at increasing levels of difficulty and focus.

Our pricing is based on time, the longer you book us the less expensive our hourly rate gets. We do not have to be in one classroom the entire time. Book us for the day and have us work with as many classes as time will allow; whichever workshop you want with each group. The sky is the limit.

Intro to Improv: Covering the basics such as scene integrity, character, working as a team & reinforcing your teachings, students are taught to do more than go for the joke & challenged to go beyond their stereotypical characterizations.
Improv Intensive: This workshop focuses on the importance of team & group mind. A wide variety of scene types is utilized to expand the depth of characters utilized as well as adding key theatrical elements to ensure scene integrity.
Improv Shakespeare: Utilizing specific improv scenes, students are able to relate and understand the Bard and gain an appreciation for these classic works.
Musical Improv: For advanced drama groups who want a new challenge.
