Cent$ible Students help students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 develop an understanding of money related issues through unique, interactive 2-hour workshops in the classroom. Using teacher approved curriculum, Cent$ible Students engages children through stories, activities, online tools and games. It begins the discussion in the formative years, setting the stage for a sensible, lifelong approach to money management.
Our in-class workshops meet Ontario math curriculum requirements and engage students through a variety of cross-curricular methods. We also provide post session resources for the teacher.
Cent$ible Students has delivered 674 workshops to 17,212 students in the 206 schools.
Our workshops and curriculum are approved by the TORONTO DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD.
Cent$ible Families workshops come in two different formats:
1. Parents Only: In this presentation, parents will explore how to talk to their children about age-appropriate money concepts. They will learn about “teachable moments” and how to get the money conversation started. Approaches to allowance will be discussed and parents will leave with resources and tools to further their children’s financial literacy.
2. Parents and Students: In this workshop, parents and children work together to learn about money management issues. Facilitators Jenni and Caroline lead families in various activities and games to explore important concepts. Included in the session is a review of available tools and resources to equip parents to start the discussion around money.
