If you’re looking for a way to introduce golf to your students, the Golf in Schools Program is for you!
Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, the Golf in Schools Program is bringing the game of golf to Canadian schools. This program has been developed for teachers to provide students the opportunity to develop aspects of “physical literacy” related to the sport of golf, and increase student knowledge and appreciation for the sport of golf.
The Golf in Schools program is available for elementary (grades 1–5), intermediate (grades 6–8), and high schools (grades 9–12). Each program will supply teachers with the necessary components to deliver an adaptable golf unit for their appropriate grade level, to offer students an opportunity to develop a skill set and to provide them with an educational and fun experience.
Each Golf in Schools program has been developed with the intent of delivering a learning resource that can be easily understood and implemented by teachers regardless of their background knowledge and experience in the game of golf. An easy to follow learning resource with sample lesson plans and games make it very user-friendly. The Golf in Schools program has been designed to be delivered with or without golf-specific equipment. Having said this, the programs do offer the choice to participating schools to purchase an age-appropriate equipment package
