WE BRING THE ZOO TO YOU: Environmental education is important to increase our familiarity and
understanding of nature, with the hope that we will become inspired to protect,
conserve and restore it back to health. For nearly two decades we have captivated audiences with an array of mammals,
birds, reptiles, amphibians, spiders and insects from around the world. It’s an
exciting opportunity to see these amazing animals in real-life and to learn
about their fascinating lives, such as where they live, how they survive, their
role in the ecosystem, and what we can do to protect them from going extinct.
Our Wildlife Presentation teams are both interesting and dynamic, professionals
in their field.
Over the years, we have visited places such as the Ontario Science Centre,
Science North, CN Tower and countless schools, libraries, summer camps,
Scouting/Guiding functions, church groups, corporate events and resorts. We have
appeared on TV shows as The Zone (YTV), TVO-Kids, This is Daniel Cook, Kratts
Creatures, Animal Housecalls, Canada AM and the Discovery Channel. Whether you’re a classroom with a few students or an auditorium with hundreds
of people, we can accommodate you. Each presentation can be tailored to meet
your needs: the age group, curriculum and/or event theme.
AN EXCITING OVERNIGHT PROGRAM FOR GROUPS: As the sun begins to set, join our Safari Guides as they introduce
you to a variety of beautiful animals from around the world. Explore the zoo
when its most active- in the mystery of darkness! Watch the nocturnal predators
stalk, jump, and pounce, as we feed them an evening meal…always cautious of
what may lurk in the shadows! The adventure begins with a fascinating Wildlife Presentation in our
Education Centre, an opportunity to see some amazing animals up-close and meet
the professional staff that care for them. Learn about hairy tarantulas and
giant snakes. Watch a red-tailed hawk eat its evening meal, and a young tiger cub pounce around the room.
Once it gets completely dark outside, follow a Safari Guide through the zoo
as they take you on an evening feeding tour, a time when the large predators are
most active, like the tigers, leopards and jaguars!
Afterwards, settle around a large campfire and listen to the nearby sounds of
the wild: the howl of the wolves, roar of the majestic lions, chatter of the
monkeys and holler of the peacocks. The same sounds that will wake you from your
bunkhouses first thing in the morning!
Groups are welcome to stay and explore Jungle Cat World during the day.
