In The Mix is a Hip Hop Dance Program…
combined with iPad technologies!
In the Mix Family Night is an innovative program that provides a unique opportunity for children and parents to explore what’s new in dance, music and internet technology. This experience is very much about developing mind and body, and gaining confidence and social skills. Participants will learn a brief hip-hop dance, and will work collaboratively to create one-of-a-kind music-videos, using iPads supplied by In the Mix! Participants have full creative freedom yet are guided appropriately to help them progress and spice up their videos and dancing. A keepsake for the whole family ! Great for Parents Reaching Out Grant (ProGrant)
This program is specifically designed to provide both physical and creative stimulation. With the integration of special iPad instruction, In The Mix adds an extra package of valuable new skills to your child’s repertoire. The iPads we supply for use during class, are just one of the tools we use to help children integrate the most current technology and trends in dance and music. Students get to explore our cool new In The Mix Music-Video Maker app to help create their own dance and performance pieces. With features that allow students to create on-the-spot videos, record with exciting borders, edit and stitch multiple videos together, use Mic to record vocals or audio, create unlimited custom effects, security feature for privacy, and in App Movie editing including transitions, students get to be a part of an interactive experience that is never forgotten!
Like adults, student’s need ways to release stress, and yoga is a perfect outlet! Not only does it teach ways to channel both negative and positive energy, it allows the child – regardless of their individual physical abilities – to develop greater strength of both mind and body. In The Mix now offers its own unique ITM Kids’ Yoga, which intertwines the foundation of yoga with stories, music and props. It’s a lot of fun and very creative, but we place great emphasis on health awareness, self-confidence, compassion and tolerance for others. We also help children find ways to relax through techniques involving understanding their own breathe and developing a better awareness of their bodies.
