Grand River Rafting hosted "Teacher of the Year" on TVO Agenda with Steve Paikin...  (we are the last 2 minutes in the video below)

Took 40 students and had an amazing day!”5 of 5 stars (From TripAdvisor)

Organized a trip for 40 students today, both a Native Studies class and our ESL classes... worked with Garth from Grand River Rafting, and had a GREAT experience. Booked with him, and he was more that accommodating. Slight fluctuating of the numbers didn't seem to present a problem. Touched base this morning and he informed us that we were going to get to spend even more time on the river, because of the high water level. GREAT! We paddled from just south of the dam in Paris, to the Brantford Conservation Area. Along the way, kids participated in various activities to familiarize themselves with Native Canadian history. A great BBQ lunch and lots of fun.

This activity is safe for all... the river was 'fast' today, but generally no deeper than 4 feet. All our students felt confident being out on the river and jumping in and swimming as we went. Would highly recommend Garth and his team again, and look forward to returning.
