Shelley King is the owner and chief executive puppeteer of Puppeteria. She uses the magic of puppets as a workshop facilitator, educator, entertainer, artist, social change agent, storyteller and shift disturber. Over the past two decades, Shelley has used her playful and interactive approach to teach and entertain thousands of people of all ages and abilities.
Shelley brings together her training in social work, developmental services, clowning, puppetry and expressive arts to create a unique blend of workshop experiences custom-designed for each group. Her creative presentations have been enjoyed at conferences, children’s camps, women’s retreats, elementary and secondary schools, colleges, not-for-profit organizations, hospices, seniors residences, health care facilities, and festivals.
Whether you are a teacher, student, care-giver, social worker, camp counsellor, social activist, parent or grandparent, we can custom-create a workshop for you. Learn to build a puppet, bring it to life and use it in your work and play.
