Brantwood Farms is very excited to be offering farm tours for the 2019 fall season! With over 25 yearsof experience in agriculture education, these tours have been crafted by our team to give students of all ages a taste of the magic that happens on the farm during our favourite time of the year.
A trip to Brantwood Farms means spending time outside, learning, being active and having fun. Our field trips focus on connecting students to their food through interactive and hands-on activities. By increasing students’ food and agriculture literacy we hope to create healthy habits and happy children!
Your class can expect a day filled with outdoor fun, farming and friends. Our farm tours include the following activities:
Apple Picking- Each student will have an opportunity to pick 5 apples to bring home.
Pumpkin Picking- Students will also get a chance to pick a pumpkin from our patch as well as a cob of popcorn to share with their families.
Farm Animals- Our farm animal meet and greet is always a hit with goats, pigs, chickens and everyone’s favourite pony, Heehaw.
The farm tours also include much more such as a wagon ride around the farm, the storybook barn and finding your way through the corn maze.
With so much to offer we are positive it will be a hit with all the students.
